Like pretty much any other person on Earth, I'd like to have a significant other. In the mind of the average individual, one thinks in a positive light: emphasis on the love, and the romance, and the automatic date to prom, and whatnot. Up until recently, I thought the same way. But yesterday, it suddenly it me - I am too damned obsessive to ever have a serious relationship. I fixate on every little thing, worry myself over nothing, and can generally switch my self-loathing over to anyone in a heartbeat. It just wouldn't work out...with anyone! Wow. Now I'm depressed. Well, maybe I'll find a super-obsessive guy, and we can call each other to check up a dozen times a day. Here's hoping.

In other news, I've decided to attend the University of Evansville in Indiana. Hooray for me! The bad news is that the confirming letter may or may not be due tomorrow. Uh-oh...

Hey Gary, I finally figured this thing out! :)

I saw "Scorpian King" yesterday and was pleasantly surprised - it was like watching one long episode of "Hercules"! There was even a fight in a bazaar - if Autolycus, King of Thieves had jumped into the melee, I wouldn't have been the least bit surprised. In short, it was like re-living my early teens. There was something about the two hour, weekly Saturday event of ancient Greek adventures (Xena was right after Herc) that appealed to me as an awkward young teen. Maybe it was just that I had a profound interest in Greek mythology. Maybe it was the relief of forgetting about my very real troubles for a short time every week. Maybe it was the hotties like Karl Urban and Kevin Tod Smith (RIP) that frequently guest-starred. I guess I'll never know...

I just got done taking the "Orange County Scholastic Foundation 2002 Academic Contest" tests. If you don't what that is, you're lucky 'cause it's actually a big waste of time and the prizes aren't even good. But anyway, here I am, 18-years-old, and every other kid taking a test hasn't even hit puberty yet. If you ever find yourself yearning for the golden age of childhood, just spend an afternoon hanging around the little freaks. I've come to the conclusion that almost every child on the face of the Earth is at least partially retarded. During the break, for instance, most of them spent the half hour trying to figure out the combinartions on my school's lockers. The rest seemed to enjoy walking in circles. One notable exception - for a few minutes they were playing the "I AM" game. That essentially consists of the kids yelling out, "I'm *insert name of universally known character of humorous/popular reputation here*!" That's it. That's considered fun. See what I mean? Well, anyway, they were playing it, proclaiming things like, "I'm Yugi-oh!" Or, "I'm a lepercahn!" "I'm the Easter Bunny!" "I'm Hawk-girl!" (I was rather impressed with the 7-year-old's Detective Comics knowledge.) Finally, this one kid says quietly, "I'm a straight-A student. And it's true." Hmmm. Which one of these kids is going to adapt best to the real world?

Well, I've finally hit the "blog" bandwagon, and what a bandwagon it is! I'm going to try to be honest and up to date with this, but more likely than not I'll just lose interest like, oh, say the last three diaries I've started. But hey, this is the INTERNET! That should make it much more fun, right? RIGHT?! Well anyway, here I am. I exist. By the Internet's standards, anyway.
